Tour description

The starting point of this tour is Korca City (Korçë) at 09:30 hrs, and after a 10 minute drive we will reach the border of Bredhi i Drenova (Drenova Spruce) National Park.

From there we start our hiking tour. After about 30 minutes we will reach the central part of the park, where we can enjoy the beauty of the landscape and relax on the lawns around the St. Peter and St. Paul’s church for a moment.

We continue the walk for another 30 minutes to reach the “Bear Spring” and rest there for a short refreshment. On the way there we have good chances to see traces of brown bears, red deer or wild boars.

We continue the uphill hiking for about 70 minutes to reach the monument of nature, the “Billy Goat Stone”, where we will spend about 20 minutes, enjoying the view and taking some photos. Here we are right inside of Bredhi i Drenoves National Park, on the ridge of the Morava mountains.

Then we start the 50-minute downhill hiking to the “Bear Spring”, which is the most important spring of the park. Here we will have some time to take a rest, refresh ourselves and have lunch.

At this place traditionally local people like to have picnics and enjoy the very cool and fresh water of the spring. In the area around the fountain you will see the oldest firs of the park.

At about 14:00 hrs we start the return journey that will take about 80 minutes to reach Korca City at about 15:30 hrs.
